DAVID PHELPS

PROGRAMME DIRECTOR

Dave started his journey in professional football at Pro Football Support as regional manager where he worked with over 30 professional football academies in England, such as Premier League Bournemouth and Huddersfield Town, conducting physical testing and providing individualised training programmes for players age 7 – 16. Dave moved on to work at FC Halifax Town where he was part of the team to set up a new academy at the club, as well as being the assistant first-team strength and conditioning coach. This role culminated in a victory in the FA Trophy at Wembley Stadium, the biggest achievement in the club’s history. In 2016 he moved to Singapore to work for ESPZEN as Senior Coach, working mainly with ages 6 – 10; Daves work resulted in the u8 age category having the most teams ESPZEN ever had at that age group. After a brief spell as Programme Manager at the end of 2017, he decided to leave the soccer school in February 2018 and join Jason in starting British Football Academy Singapore. Dave holds a BSc Sports Coaching from Leeds Metropolitan University, FA Level 2 and Youth Module licenses and comes with over 15 years of experience in working with young players.

Matthew Campbell

HEAD OF coaching

Matthew (Matty) is from Livingston, Scotland, where he achieved his UEFA B Licence and an Honours degree in Sport Coaching from the University of West Scotland. Having played for both Hibernian and Raith Rovers youth academies growing up, Matty turned his focus into coaching and developing youth players. He began his coaching career at the West Lothian Community Foundation, delivering football sessions to primary and secondary students, alongside his role leading the community football programme and coaching a development squad. Matty then became the lead football coach for West Lothian Leisure where he implemented a player development pathway to highlight key learning objectives for each skill level. In addition, this role involved him developing new coaches hired by the company. He then became the head coach of Camelon U20s where he successfully coached several players to make the next step into men’s football. He gained valuable experience in using video analysis and in player management within this position. He relocated and worked for CJ Coaching in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to develop his coaching further by leading sessions to international players aged between 3-18 years old.

Tuan Anh Pham

SENIOR COACH

Tuan Anh is an individual that has a strong passion for football. Highly motivated with strengths in supporting colleagues by working hard, a great team ethos and a can-do attitude. Having obtained a Master in Sports Management from Sheffield Hallam University Tuan Anh also completed the FAW/ UEFA C Coaching Licence (level 2). With experience in youth football, working with both inexperienced and experienced players in the UK and Vietnam his passion and drive helps those players to develop and achieve their goals. Tuan Anh has completed his FA level 1 Introduction to Talent Identification, FA First Adi and Safeguarding , PFSA Education Level 2 performance Analysis and IPSO level 4 First Team Scouting. Recently he has been working in London as assistant coach of Hammersmith football team as well as leading the female team in 2023.
